How many grams in a cup of miso?
About 275 g in a US cup (240 ml), 291 g in a metric cup (250 ml) and 232 g in a 200 ml cup.

Dry ingredients are spooned into the cup and levelled. Scooped straight from the bag, flour can weigh up to 20% more — for baking, a scale is the safest bet.
Good to know:
- Miso is a thick paste: press it into the spoon or cup so there are no air gaps, then level it off. A level tablespoon is about 17 g.
- White (shiro) miso is mild and slightly sweet; red (aka) miso is saltier and stronger. Swapping red for white? Start with less and taste.
- Sealed in the fridge, miso keeps for months. Press plastic wrap onto the surface so it doesn't dry out and darken.
